Define yourself by your actions, not how you feel
Fear - the fear of being rejected, not fitting in, not being loved unconditionally, if left unchecked and unchallenged, can reduce the potential of who we're capable of being, of becoming.
Thoughts and emotions are running through us all the time and the relationship we have with the voice in our head has a significant impact. A loud voice, sometimes toxic, influences how we think about ourselves.
We quickly begin to believe what it says and begin to limit our external life experiences by what we think and feel on the inside. Has that inner voice ever told you that you weren’t good enough?
Fear - the fear of being rejected, not fitting in, not being loved unconditionally, if left unchecked and unchallenged, can reduce the potential of who we're capable of being, of becoming.
We are not our thoughts, nor are we our emotions.
When we don't limit ourselves to how we feel and instead go beyond it and take actions that align with who we want to be and can be, we tell that voice and the rest of the world that we're so much more than an emotion, a thought; we're the sum of the courageous actions we're willing to take.
The true obstacle to brave leadership is how we choose to respond to fear – Brené Brown, Dare to Lead.
The definition of brave leadership isn't just for senior executive and C-level cooperation leaders. We are all leaders, leaders of our own life.
Our actions speak much louder to ourselves and the world around us than the voice in our heads. What if we started taking action despite the fear that's holding us back? Can you imagine what might happen if we did?
